Despite its size, Marylanders punch above their weight when one examines the number of significant leaders in many types of industries. The state is home to farming, mining, steel products, communication equipment, fishing and government services and those living in the state truly understand the value of education.  In addition, the Old Line State does everything it can to help students transition from high school to college educations and while the state offers plenty of fantastic universities, they won’t be right for every student. Some may find that smaller schools, or even online colleges are right for them.
