About the School:

The College Preparatory School is recognized as one of the top 20 independent schools in the nation. It is a private, coeducational school founded in 1960. Its campus is located in Oakland, California, and offers education for grades 9 to 12. College Prep has a small enrollment count of around 370 students and also has an average graduation rate of 100%.

College prep offers academic programs in areas including arts, English, history, math, science, world languages, computer science, and more. The school also maintains a smaller class size. The average number of students is 14 per class. In addition, all grade reports are done under the teacher’s observations and guidance, which helps to produce individualized reports for each student.

Laptop Programs:

The school provides MacBook Pro 13” laptops to all students as a part of College Prep’s 1:1 laptop program. These laptops come pre-installed with the necessary software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Firefox, Google Chrome, Audacity, VLC, and more. The laptops provided are not free. Students' families pay an annual technology fee for the use of devices provided by the school.
