About the School:

Laney College is a public community college based in Oakland, California. It is the flagship college of Peralta District and educates approx. 16,000 students annually. The institution provides various certifications and associates degree programs including perquisites required for transferring to a four-year university.

The area of study offered by Laney College includes business, computer information systems, construction management, economics, engineering, English, geography, humanities, mathematics, music, political science, physics, psychology, and much more. The college also offers a student/faculty ratio of 28:1 with a gender distribution of over 40% male and over 50% female.

The tuition and fees charged by LC are comparatively lower than many other community colleges. Here, in-state students pay around $1,200 and out-of-state students pay around $7,800.
