About the School:

Colorado Technical University is a private for-profit institution owned by the Perdoceo Education Corporation. Founded in 1965, CTU is a military-centric school that offers degree programs from associates to doctoral levels. With an acceptance rate close to 100%, it is a fairly easy university to get into. The university enrolls over 30,000 students in the fields of business, engineering & computer science, healthcare, information technology, nursing, project management, and security studies & criminal justice.

Military-centric:

Due to CTU’s heavy emphasis on military education, they have set up policies and designed their degree programs to be very flexible and convenient for military members to attend on their own schedule. They offer a military leave of absence policy, through which students can take time off from their studies due to military deployments and for new assignments.

Online Presence:

CTU archives and records all of their online programs, which allows students to access course materials at a later time as per their schedule. Students have the option to choose from 80 online programs. Refer to online programs at CTU for the complete list. The available courses include:
  • Associates degree in accounting, business administration, health, and management
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, criminal justice, information technology, nursing, and psychology
  • Master’s degree in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, business administration, computer science, health management, nursing, and criminal justice
  • Doctorate degree in computer science, management, and nursing practice

Laptop Programs:

Students can earn a laptop through the CTU Patriot Scholarship. In addition, this scholarship covers full tuition, textbooks, and fees as outlined by its terms & conditions. Candidates who eligible for this program:
  • Be an active member of the US Armed Forces.
  • Be a veteran of the US Armed Forces.
  • National guards and reserves who have received or are receiving medical treatment for service-related disabilities.

Accreditation:

Colorado Technical University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which is an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
