Founded in April 1974, Berkeley City College is a public community college based in Berkeley, California. It is a medium-sized institution with a full-time enrollment of over 1,600 students and part-time students of about 4,400. The college has an acceptance rate of 100% and offers a student-to-faculty ratio of 31:1. The college offers a wide array of subjects, and the popular ones include liberal arts & sciences, social sciences, psychology, and general studies & humanities. Online Presence:

Berkeley City College uses Canvas learning management system for its online classes. The programs are offered at both online and hybrid modes and are taught in a weekly format. Laptop Programs:

Berkeley City College provides free laptops for high school, middle school, and adult students enrolled in a dual enrollment class. Laptops are available for both credit or non-credit classes. Also, the laptops come with a limited number of WI-FI hotspots. The devices operate on Google Chrome OS and are meant to be used while connected to the internet. You will need to fill out a form to request a free laptop. Once approved, you need to pick up the laptop in person and bring your identification form.
