Michigan is a land surrounded by major lakes and best known for its largest city, Detroit. With car manufacturing, farming, timber and fishing making up its major industries, education, and career training are extremely important to Michiganites. The Wolverine State is more than industry, lakes and education though, it offers some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the country. Students studying in the state have plenty of options ranging from major universities to trade schools, and they have a rather unique advantage of a beautiful countryside to relax, or a bustling city to play. The state has seen some struggles with the economic down turn, but it has also shown that it is a fighter and continued to prove that Michigan is a state that will survive and it will do so through ingenuity.
